If you’re looking for songs for when you’re unmotivated, then you’re in the right place.
I don’t know you guys, but when I’m feeling unmotivated af, the first thing I do is looking for a song that’ll make me feel better.
Listening to music is therapy for must of us. A good sad song is the best excuse to cry; a song like “the Gangnam style” is the best excuse to dance like crazy, and so on.
Music is my way to be better and to be myself. That’s why today I’m going to share with you guys some songs to listen when you’re feeling unmotivated.
Don’t worry, you won’t only find one genre here, I listen from k-pop to rock or metal, so you may find one or two songs that’ll suit your music taste or personality.
Top songs for when you’re unmotivated
Speechless – Naomi Scott
“I won’t cry and I won’t start to crumble whenever they try to shut me and cut me down”-Naomi Scott
Yes. I’m starting with a Disney song here. Don’t tell me you didn’t feel empowered when you listened to this song.
Naomi’s voice is amazing, and the lyrics of this song will make you feel like you can do and say anything in this world. This song empowers women (men, kids, and anybody) to raise their voices anytime they feel like they have to say something.
There are so many reasons why I love this song and the power it gives me is one of them.
A Million Dreams – The Greatest Showman
A million dreams are keeping me awake-The Greatest Showman
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
Musicals are part of my life and The Greatest Showman is on the top.
This song is about dreaming. We all have dreams, some of them are a bit crazy, like wanting to become an artist in a world that doesn’t appreciate it. But something is a fact, it doesn’t matter how crazy our dreams are, they’ll come true if we fight for them
And that’s what this song is about. It’s about dreaming and ignoring what people say. It’s about fighting for what we believe in and not letting anyone stop us.
If you’re looking for a song about dreams, this is yours.
Try Everything – Zootopia
I won’t give up, no I won’t give in-Shakira
Till I reach the end
And then I’ll start again
Yes. Another Disney song. But I’m sorry, It’s not my fault they have so many good songs!
This one is one of my favs. From the beginning until the end, this song hits you hard in trying again and never giving up.
There’s a path that we need to walk, and it’s not easy. So take a deep breath, fix your clothes, and go for it!
Tomorrow – BTS
Jobless twenty-somethings are afraid of tomorrow-BTS
It’s funny, you think anything is possible when you’re a kid
Yes. Everybody is listening to BTS these days. And Yes, every single teenager thinks she is an Army, but hey! I’ve been a fan since 2016 and let me tell you, this song is on my top when I’m feeling down.
Maybe it’s Korean. Maybe we won’t understand a 100% of the lyrics, but English speakers listen to Despacito without knowing what it is about, Spanish speakers listen to Justin Bieber without understanding a single word, so why can’t we give it a try?
With this and so many other songs, BTS talks about life in our twenties. They encourage us to follow our dreams and not worrying about our problems, cause our dreams will come true someday.
Dancing like butterfly wings – ATEEZ
We don’t wanna fall deep down.We don’t wanna lose our mind.We won’t stop until we get there.-ATEEZ
OMG! BTS is not the only k-pop group! Yes, people, Ateez is a k-pop group (and everybody should listen to them).
Ateez tells us that we have to keep going until we get to that place where we want to be. Fight for what you believe in and never give up!
Okay, so now we’re going a bit deeper. The songs I’m going to mention now are especially for those who have been through dark times and need someone or something, like a song, to stay strong.
Somewhere I belong – Linkin Park
I want to heal, I want to feel,-Linkin Park
What I thought was never real
I want to let go of the pain I felt so long
Yes! Finally something for those rock lovers!
This song is a classic, yet an underrated classic. This song is about finding ourselves. It’s about the road we take to get where we want to be. It’s about forgetting all the bad things and staying true to ourselves and letting our wounds heal.
Keep Holding On – Avril Lavigne
Keep holding on-Avril Lavigne
‘Cause you know we’ll make it through
Just stay strong
‘Cause you know I’m here for you
Guys, I don’t know what any of you are going through, but in case you’re needing a song to not only motivate you but also make you feel like you you’re not alone, this is your song.
This is the type of song that you’ll listen to when you’re in your room at night, trying to hold back your tears because you just can’t anymore.
Just remember, you can do anything in this world.
Fight for it! You can do it!
For you – Stray Kids
You can do it well-SKZ
Don’t give up
You’ve done so well
What are you worrying about? Believe in yourself
Blessings wait for you
Stray Kids are on my top when I’m feeling down.
They’re not like these typical k-pop groups that sing about romance nor friendship. They sing about real struggles. They sing about depression, anxiety, lack of confidence, they just have it all!
That’s why I’m always recommending to listen to these kids when you’re feeling down. They encourage you and make you feel like the problems you’re facing are just a moment from your life that will pass, and that someday you’ll be the person you’ve always wanted to be.
So these are my songs for when you’re unmotivated! I hope you guys liked it and share it with your friends!!
